U.S. Rep. Bill Johnson announced that the Lisbon Community Health Center was awarded a grant for telehealth services from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

“This is a significant, timely, and much needed award for a rural provider like the Lisbon Community Health Center,” Bill Johnson said. “I’ve already talked to the leadership team of the Community Action Agency of Columbiana County, and they are eager to put this grant to use immediately to better serve patients.”

The FCC’s COVID-19 Telehealth Program will provide $200 million in funding, appropriated by Congress as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, to help health care providers provide connected care services to patients at their homes or mobile locations in response to the novel Coronavirus 2019 disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
