“The opportunities are coming,” Johnson said. “We’ve got the promises of a plant in Belmont County. You’re talking 10,000 construction workers over a six-year period. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.”

Congressman Bill Johnson continued his tour around the Ohio Valley Wednesday by visiting Columbus Equipment in Cadiz.

He was invited to the facility by the associated equipment distributers to discuss company and industry issues. He took a tour of the facility, shook hands with employees and congratulated them on their successes.

“The opportunities are coming,” Johnson said. “We’ve got the promises of a plant in Belmont County. You’re talking 10,000 construction workers over a six-year period. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.”

“We’re small but mighty,” said Dan Minnis, Columbus Equipment branch manager. “We’re going to show him around the place and we are going to voice some concerns for him we'd like to have taken back and as much as anything we want to hear what he thinks."

“I am very confident not only about the future of our region here but the future of our country,” Johnson said. “There’s a lot more reason to be optimistic than pessimistic, that’s for sure.”

Columbus Equipment is one of the leading heavy equipment distributors in the United States. Minnis was glad Johnson stopped at the company.
