Congressman Bill Johnson (OH-6) issued the following statement regarding the budget plan released today by Congressman Paul Ryan, Chairman of the House Budget Committee:
“Congressman Paul Ryan has put forth a bold, aggressive budget plan to right our economic ship, reduce the nation’s debt and addresses the root problems of Washington’s spending binges. We have to do everything we can to foster private-sector job creation, lock in spending cuts and strengthen critical programs to provide for the health and retirement security of all Americans. The first step toward this is for Washington to stop spending money it doesn’t have. By defunding the Democrats’ job-destroying healthcare law and fighting for common-sense reforms and solutions, we can put our country on the path to prosperity.” |
