Congressman Johnson Announces Award of Federal Grant to Beaver Township Fire Department

“Firefighters are on t he front lines keeping our communities safe, and I’m pleased that the Beaver Township Fire Department was awarded this grant to provide assistance with operations and safety programs,” said Congressman Johnson.
Congressman Bill Johnson (OH-6) today announced that the Beaver Township Fire Department in Mahoning County was awarded a federal grant to enhance the department’s ability to protect the health and safety of citizens in Beaver Township and the surrounding area.
“Firefighters are on t he front lines keeping our communities safe, and I’m pleased that the Beaver Township Fire Department was awarded this grant to provide assistance with operations and safety programs,” said Congressman Johnson. The competitive grant is administered through the Department of Homeland Security in cooperation with the U.S. Fire Administration. The Beaver Township Fire Department was awarded $23,964 under the Operations and Safety Program, which provides assistance to departments for training, equipment, personal protective equipment, wellness and fitness, and health and safety modifications to stations and facilities. |
