Internships

We are always seeking motivated and enthusiastic interns to work in our Washington, D.C. and district offices. Qualified applicants should possess strong communication skills, be interested in learning about constituent service and the legislative process and have the willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include answering phones, leading tours of the Capitol (Washington, D.C. office), attending policy briefings and meetings, and conducting research and additional tasks to assist the Congressman’s team. Ohio ties are preferred. Candidates selected for our Washington, D.C. office are eligible for a monthly stipend and are responsible for paying their own travel and living expenses


Interns are accepted for the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter seasons, but tailored to work with individual start/finish dates.


Internships in Washington D.C.:


Interns in the Washington, D.C. office will have an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and the federal government by working closely with the legislative, communications, and constituent services staff members. 


Internships in the District Offices:

By assisting my district staff, interns have the opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge about how a congressional office provides constituent services and interacts with the community. Internships are available year-round and can be coordinated with class schedules.

All internships are unpaid, and candidates who are chosen for the Washington, D.C. office may be responsible for paying their own travel and living expenses. 


Internships in Washington D.C.:
